Very different to the gold and silver threads of the Nishijin weave, this technique uses natural dyes derived from plants and fowers. In search of a unique approach research and presentations of purple mollusk dyes as well as rare saffron and purple root dyes were explored. This particular masterpiece is made of thread dyed with indigo and saffron.
