Pure silk Fukuro Obi gorgeously depicting an extravagant procession of the Maeda family, Using 1800 threads of Silk warp the fine details of the costumes and facial expressions of those in the procession are woven. Usually a single pattern is repeated in this type of obi, but in this instance the entire obi is like a mural canvas, and the sophisticated brilliance makes this one of the most precious examples of the Nishijin weave.
