Rakuchurakugai saireimon obi 洛中洛外祭礼文 帯
A superb piece that skillfully employs "gold thread and lacquer gold thread arrangement technique" to create the three-dimensional effect in the handweave. As the foundation the technique of "wet weft" was used which is considered a "double weave". The technique strengthens the thread by weaving the weft thread soaked in water. Moreover, the thread is dried naturally in order to bring out the mellow texture and dimensional patterns of silk. This is a textile that can be seen often found in old shrines and temples.
